Missoula Time Bank / Inter-Trade

The Missoula Time Bank is now global! The new service is called Inter-Trade. Our wonderful hOurworld software now includes the capability to exchange with all the other hOurworld time bank members. This extends our reach to approximately 15,000 members. There is a menu button to access inter-trade offers and requests when the member logged in to the hOurworld site. The search function on the Inter-Trade page is the best way to find Inter-Trade offers and requests.

No offer or request is made available to the inter-trade community unless a member specifically allows it by clicking on the blue and white world icon. Activiting the intertrade button will allow members of other time banks to see the offer, so we can pick and choose which offers and requests are more widely available.

Here are some instructions. Thank you for your patience as we learn this together.

• Inter-trade services from other time banks are available to all MTB members. MTB offers and requests will be local-only unless inter-trade is activated by the inter-trade button for each offer or request.
• The inter-trade service offer lists the member's name, city/state, timebank, service category, service, service description and member stats (# of exchanges, % satisfaction, and endorsements). Other personal information that is available to Missoula Time Bank members will not be shown (bio/phone/address/other contact info, local services, groups and so on...)
• An Inter-Trade exchange is recorded in the listing box using the hour icon on the inter-trade page. Find the listing box by selecting the inter-trade tab , then select or search for the service. Inter-Trade exchange recording is a little different from recording transactions locally, and can only be done by one party to the transaction as follows: The listing box for an offer is seen, responded to, and the hours exchanged by the recipient, and the listing box for a request is seen, responded to, and hours exchanged by the provider.
